Hi Guys and Girls,
I have just received a letter from Debt Recovery Plus addressed to my wife, 2 years after the initial parking offence was meant to have occurred.
I have read the stickys and just want to clarify as to whether or not I just ignore this letter or do I need to take action.
p.s my wife wasn't the one driving the car at the time.
Regards,
Ian

as post #4 of the NEWBIES sticky thread says
IGNORE debt collectors, especially DRP
IGNORE for 6 years
but do not ignore an LBC or MCOL from the PPC or managing agents or landowner0 -
Thanks Redx,
Thats what I thought.0 -

But it won't go away. Prepare for a blizzard of 'threatening' letters - once a month, some with red typeface - for up to six years, likely to dry up within 12 months, but always be vigilant for the full duration.
Be extra vigilant for LBC or MCOL papers at any time for six years . Come back if any of these arrive. But spare us any of the ongoing debt collector chain - the advice for these won't change from - IGNORE!Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
