I had an injury to my wrists (sprains) and chipped a bone following a bit of a slip up at my workplace. I tried to discuss the issue at work but was basically stonewalled by my boss. The accident was really, in my opinion, down to him making me carry heavy boxes too far, hence the trip up and fall-over necessitating putting my arms out to brake my fall.

I have been looking online at accident compensation companies like https://www.accidentcompensation4uk.co.uk and was wondering if anyone else had used them or any others for any personal injury claims.

The problem I now have is bad feeling in the office as I have discussed making a claim with a manager. I wouldn't call it bullying but I am sure you can imagine what its like! Any thoughts welcome as I need to make a decision.

The key word here seems to be accident - was it reasonably foreseeable, and if so did you not voice your concerns before moving the items?

I actually tripped on loose cable which in my opinion should have been tidied away. I did also mention that moving about 25 20kg boxes of documents 30 yards by hand was a stretch to far!

Your legal rep will contact the firm's insurers re your injuries. That's what they're there for.

Make sure to keep evidence ie notes, photos as well as receipts for any losses.
Please be polite to OPs and remember this is a site for Claimants and Appellants to seek redress against their bank, ex-boss or retailer. If they wanted morality or the view of the IoD or Bank they'd ask them.

ok so now my wife has her backpay from the dwp,,i know the solicitor will come calling shortly so i could do with some hard facts.
can they,or cant they, demand more than 25% of her backpay?
ps we just cant find our copy of the agreement but must assume their claim for 60% of her backpay is valid

They can take what you agreed to when you signed the document. If that is more than 25% then yes they can.

If they can charge you 40% + Vat then it equates to a payment to them of £1760.64 as comeandgo said...

    So a total of 48% of £3668
