Hi guys, need a bit of advice please. I've just viewed my credit report online for the first time, although I'm 70.
Nothing seems amiss, but there are two things that concern me.
1;I have a joint current A/c with Hsbc , for 30 + years , and it's my main A/c, ( I have others ), but, there is no sign of it.?
Should it be there? My name is first on the A/c.
2;Tesco have searched my A/c on behalf of my wife, but, we don't have a current A/c.?
We do have separate ones, IS and IAS.
Any reason why they should.?
My wife has just ordered hers to compare, ( her first one too).
Any advice would be appreciated.

1. Most current account were not reported to the CRAs until 7 or 8 years ago I think, and many opened before then are still not because agreement to do so was not part of the terms.
2. Are you linked as financial associates on your reports. See --> What is a financial associate search?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

The search is in that section.linked financially.dated nearly 12months ago, when we opened both Tesco A/cs .0 -

I understand your concerns regarding the search on your account by Tesco, Fermi has provided a great link for financial associates link information, if you have a financial link if and when you apply for credit the lender may search yours and your financial associate (Wife) report.
If you haven't already done so you may want to provide at least six years worth of address history just in case any older account information is missing from your current credit report, if you/and or wife would like us to take a look through your credit report(s) with each of you to make sure that the information is appearing correct for both of you, to also establish the reason why the account is missing from report and why the search from Tesco has appeared in detail you can contact us here.
I hope this helps.

It's great to hear that you've decided to take a look through your credit report with Experian, you may also want to check your report with the other Credit Reference Agencies (CRAs), as you might find the information can differ between the reports.

The thing I'm confused about is why would Tesco want to search me, when my wife wants to open a savings A/c.?
Not a current A/c.No credit involved.
My Tesco Instant Saver A/c, and , Instant Access Savings A/c,are also not showing on my file? So, presume,my wifes won't on hers.??
My wife has an Instant Saver A/c, and an Instant Access saver A/c, as well
. No debit cards, overdrafts, credit cards, etc.with either of us;
When I opened them, all, for both of us,( as I do all the banking for both of us), I never mentioned any link to either party It's ,Not needed for a savings A/cthey are ,totally separate.?
seems a tad strange?
Both at the same address for 20 years.0
