Thankyou MSE for the details on the site, I've been given a refund for £4695 for a faulty second hand car I bought! Having found how to claim for a refund, I only had to give the bank the invoice,(proof of purchase) and proof from Greenflag that the broken down car had been returned to the dealers to get the refund.
Having a numpty salesman sign and stamp the V5C form and a letter I wrote confirming car is back with them also helped...!
Car was 08 plate 1.6TDCI Ford CMax sold with replacement turbo already fitted, and no servicing for past 2 years. 1st motorway run a month later and the turbo seized up, and dealers only replaced it, without cleaning the engine/resolving the root cause. 1 month later the turbo went again in a queue of traffic so car was rejected under SOGA, but dealers refused to issue a refund, despite this being a well known issue on this model of engine.
