Car insurance - two policies one accident

Hi guys and gals
I have a quick question about business insurance, my friend has two car insurance policies on hos car as he works for dominoes delivering and uses his car. He has just had a lorry crash into him and a garage has valued the work at 850 quid. Dominoes are aware of the accident and the lorries insurer are dealing with the repair.
My question is whether or not the guys personal insurance need to know that he has been in an accident and claimed or is his business cover insurer adequate.
Thanks.

The claim is now part of his history and has to be disclosed to both his insurers and on all future applications for quotes (for 3/5 years depending on how long a history is asked for).

Unfortunately yes he has to declare it to his motor insurer and if he doesn't a future claim may not be paid out. They do record these incidents on an insurance database and only check that database when you claim. His insurance premiums will increase and there's little he can do about it. Insurers feel the risk is higher that you will be involved in another incident in the next year and will add more on to the premium even though in reality he did everything possible to avoid being hit.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
