should i apply for a new credit card

i currently have 2 credit cards they are high intrest as they are inteded to help rebuild a bad credit history the cards i have currently are vanquis and aquacard vanquis decided to boost my limit to £1000 some 4-5 months back and aquacard have just done the same this monday which i assume means my credit rating is getting better through my aquacard i recieve the noddle credit checker which states my current credit score is 524 or 1/5 i realise this is still low but it has been steadily rising for the past few months i am debating applying for another card with a lower intrest rate but am not sure if i should make a new application after so soon after recieving an increase to my credit limit

    Are you carrying a balance on your cards? If not, then there is no rush to get a new card. But you could try the soft search on here to see what you might be suited to.

    If you are carrying a balance, then pay it off as soon as you can.

    Oh, and of course, ignore your credit scores. Just focus on the information that is there.

    i have around £500 on each card my main reason for looking at a new card is so i can transfer the balance over to a lower rate

    Very odd and expensive way of rebuilding a credit history. Most likely it will lead to the history ruined once again.
