I would highly recommend the Tewkesbury if you can afford it as we have had this range in both of our last houses. After 14 years the units are still like brand new. When we came to sell our buyer though we had just put the kitchen in ! Excellent quality

This is why we like it, it's modern enough not to look old fashioned and traditional enough not to get dated quickly, so hopefully with it being at the higher end of the range it'll last for ages. I definitely don't want to be doing it again it 10 years.

If the OH is fitting (hopefully he does a good job) then you are probably not all that far away. If you allow a maximum budget of 5k for the kitchen goods with the tops and appliances, and maybe even your tiles and flooring, you shouldn't have trouble getting the rest of the work done for another 5k or less.

Magnet prices are mega over the top, but they do have a trade section and compete with howdens. Not sure what magnets service is like though/.

I had my kitchen done 3 years ago and was choosing between Howdens Burford and. Magnet Trade. The prices were almost identical (between 3 and 4k). Howdens Tewksbury was above my budget.

Get a quote from all 3 trade kitchen suppliers (Magnet Trade, Howdens and Benchmark). Ask each one for there best price and decide from there.

As for comparing Benchmark Oxford to Howdens Burford. They are not comparable. Oxford is a paper shaker chipboard door and Burford is a PVC wrapped MDF door. Benchmark Turin is comparable to Burford.

As for the charcoal filter issue I believe that was a Nationwide issue as I had the same issue with my local Benchmark and all there literature was incorrect.

But I'm always playing one off against the other they love it!! So give that a try.
