9 PCN and a debt collector

Hello,
I was knowingly parked on private land, and I was told to ignore the tickets I was receiving. Now I have a total of 9 parking charge notices from Comprehensive Management Solutions - two of which have been passed to the debt collector ZZPs. Now I'm getting really scared and the letters I am receiving are becoming increasingly intimidating. My parents (where my car is registered to) have been scaring me into believing bailiffs and my future is at stake. I have contacted both companies to change the address of any future correspondance and both have reminded me of the total amount payable - now £1120.
Please can anyone give me some advice as to what to do about this. I'm a graduate with a relatively low income and I can't afford to pay this but I'm so scared about it coming to court.
These were windscreen tickets, dating between January and May.
I know it was stupid and I have stopped parking there since the debt collector letter came... please help me!

I have read it, can I just ignore it? Or do I need to appeal all 9 of them?
Thanks0 -
You are probably too late to appeal them - though if you haven't yet timed out or have not yet received a notice to keeper for May ones you might be able to appeal those.
Would suggest you draw up a list (for your own use - don't post it here as it would be enough info to identify you to the parking company) along these lines
PCN 1 date of event - date of NtK - deadline date for appeal
PCN 2 " " " etc
If you are still within the time to appeal for any of them - use the template 1st appeal letter in the sticky NEWBIES thread and appeal as Keeper (one for each PCN you can still appeal)
If by Comprehensive Management Solutions you meant Comprehensive Management Services Ltd - they are members of the IPC and latest advice in the NEWBIES thread would be to ignore them after 1st stage appeal anyway as the IPC don't offer a fair and transparent independent appeals service anyway.
All you can do now is to ignore (but file away and keep) any further letters from debt collectors and watch out for either
- a real Letter Before Action (aka LBCCC) issued by the parking company or a real solicitors acting for them
- or real court papers
Both of which are unlikely as CMS haven't tended to do court - but they have 6 years to decide and it can't be guaranteed they won't - multiple tickets also offer more of a worthwhile target for them.
Come back for advice if you receive either of the above.
Also don't ignore any parking charges you may be unlucky enough to get in the future - come back to the forum for advice on appealing as soon as you get one.0 -
Hello,
They are passing them onto debt collectors - zzps and have said the tickets are now 'out of their hands' what does this mean in regards to taking it to court?
Thanks for your replies, I didn't realise it would be this bad or I wouldn't have even dared to be brazen enough to park there.0 -
if ZZPS have passed them back to CMS then its down to CMS or the landowner (or managing agent) to decide what to do over the next 6 years
ie:- if they are taking it to court or not
as for bailiffs, none will be coming to anyones house, this is a civil matter, not like council penalties !
in order for a bailiff to come around, you need to have
been taken to court
lost
given 28 days to pay the judgment
not paid it
CCJ issued by the court
only then can ENFORCEMENT occur, which could be bailiffs
your parents should learn the facts before mentioning stuff that isnt true or factual , ie:- scaremongering
there is nothing you can do about this thats not already done, its a waiting game, for 6 years, waiting for something to happen , they are in control , not you0
