Yep. Evidence packs from PPCs are usually received around one week prior to the forecasted adjudication date.

You do need to respond quickly.

Typical, I guess they're hoping to win on that score. I have very little time (maybe just tomorrow) to prepare for this but having briefly scanned the threads you linked to I now have a slightly clearer image of where I need to go with this. Thank you.

It's just so nerve wracking as I'm completely unfamiliar with much of the legal terminology used and I'm terrified of getting it completely wrong :o

The guys in those threads seem incredibly confident in knowing how to address the relevant issues. All I can do is hope to find similar points and C&P their arguments, ensuring relevant details are included, of course.

It worries me slightly that in one post I read, the PPC even challenged someone using internet templates to argue their case, as that is basically what I've done so far. Adapting to fit my circumstances where necessary. Isn't that what everyone does?

Using a template of their own, hmmmm!

Stop worrying, hit them hard and they'll go down like a sack of spuds! UKPC have really shot themselves in the [STRIKE]foot[/STRIKE] b*ll*cks with the time stamp altering scam; their credibility in pursuing charges must be absolutely f*cked.

And even, in the worst case scenario, if you bomb at POPLA, do you honestly think that UKPC, who've rarely ever raised a small claims court case, is going to chance appearing before a Judge (other than the one they may well be forced to very shortly)?

Deal with everything you need to, but do sleep easy.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • You can see how incompetent this shower are. Somebody on the Tritton Road FB page has reported that they have just received a refund over the doctored photo scam. The letter says the refund is £61.50 and these idiots have sent a cheque for £51.50.

POPLA were supposed to have made a decision regarding my appeal by 18th September but, as yet, I've heard nothing. I now read that UKPC are banned by DVLA and also undergoing a fraud investigation. Could this be the reason I've not yet heard anything?

email the BPA and ask them what is happening with this popla appeal seeing as its the old popla, not the newer Ombudsman popla

in theory the old popla should have completed all their cases by now (but havent done for various reasons)

I think you've missed the obvious about the POPLA services, did you not realise you won't be hearing about this anything like yet?

Yours is a Work In Progress case currectly stashed safely away by the BPA until they've found a service to hear them. Nothing you can do about it, but wait.

Actually no because I've had far more important life-threatening health issues to deal with. Fighting a parking ticket has been bottom of my priority list. I only learned through casual browsing today that UKPC are in trouble.

I guess I'll just wait to hear then. Thank you :)

I assume my case is still ongoing as I've heard nothing from POPLA despite submitting my appeal and rebuttal. Is anyone else still awaiting a POPLA decision after almost 6 months?

I know of cases from over a year ago.
