Return Item Purchased Online

2 weeks ago I purchased a pair of walking boots. I've only worn them 3 times and the soles have started to come off. I purchased them online (Millets) so I have emailed them with photos asking them how to return them. They have replied that they would like me to go to one of their high street stores to return. This is very inconvenient for me since I live in the middle of nowhere, currently with little access to a car.
I would have thought that I should have the right to return by post since I purchased online. Could someone tell me what my rights are?

Call them again to explain your circumstances. I'm sure they have a returns centre, just ask them what the address is, or if a courier service can be arranged. If not, complain to Head Office.0
