Email from google, have I been hacked. ?

I received an email from Google this evening saying new sign in from chrome on windows on a new device using my email,address and the location says Warrington in England ? This certainly wasn't me . Have I been hacked , can anyone help me please ? I tried replying to the email but it bounced back

Didn't the email go on to say what you should do if you know nothing about this new device?

To be safe, log in, change your password, turn on 2 step verification.

The fact that the log in from warrington isn't a worry in itself - my ip shows in all over the place. But if you hadn't logged on then resecure your account.

Or it could have been a phishing email, what address was it from?

You give them your mobile number. Each time you log into a new device (ie a diff computer or if you clear your cookies) they text you a code to enter. That way even if someone guesses your password they also need the security code.

Just tried to log in to gmail and got this
Forbidden. Access to VM SSO from non-VM services is denied.
What does that mean ?
My email address is an ntlworld one
