UKPC parking fine appeal

Hi everyone! Just after a bit of advice as I'm slightly worried about being taken to court of a parking fine!
Over a month ago, I was parked in a UKPC car park at a leisure park in Crawley. There were a few bays that had unclear and obviously old disabled signs on them, so I specifically asked a parking warden whether I was allowed to park there or not to which he told me was acceptable. So a few weeks later I happened to park in this 'former' disabled bay and got ticketed. Even though new disabled bays had clearly been re-designed elsewhere in the carpark and with clear disabled bay signs. Other 'old' disabled bays were occupied with cars with no disabled badges yet they had not received a ticket. Due to my anger, I appealed it as soon as I got home (which I realise I now should have just ignored) but I wanted to know if I can still ignore the letters even though I have written an appeal?

    no you should not ignore

yes you should appeal (its been appeal - not ignore for almost 3 years in england and wales)

please read the NEWBIES sticky thread

have you got a popla code yet ?

who told you its a fine ?

its an invoice (not a fine)
  • I've appealed once, received a POPLA code, and have received my first letter from them 1 week ago stating to either appeal again or pay £60 fine.
Can I ignore these letters like all the other forums say?

As above, do not ignore. Appeal using your PoPLA code. Check that it is valid on the Parking Cowboys website first. Do not miss the appeal deadline.

Read the NEWBIES thread, then read the POPLA decisions thread to find one that you can modify to fit your case.

Do not pay, do not ignore, do not reveal who was driving, never 'phone a private parking company.

... and as already mentioned, it is not a fine.

    DO NOT IGNORE THIS !!!!!!

Read the Newbies and use the POPLA assistance in it to write your appeal. And as Redx says, check the code.
