I don't know if it's the right time to post a link to this video - it's probably the most inappropriate time to do so:o:rotfl::rotfl: but never mind - it's been one of my obsessions:o:o at times in the last few months:rotfl: - probably best not watched at the moment by anyone who is emotionally upset (probably myself therefore:rotfl:).

It's where she says "Huh. Okay." I wish I could deal with it like that - although I'm not as 'bad' as that, I'm not as emotionally uninvolved as that and do go to what she mentions after that. I can't stop laughing when she goes "Huh!":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Whether it's right or wrong and sometimes it's the 'inappropriate' things that make us laugh!:T Think I'll try the "Huh. Okay." approach next time. It's a coping mechanism, it's not a reflection on not enjoying someone's company who was close to you in your life.

Right, I'm off, all the best for the rest of the day (and, indeed, beyond).

EDIT: Oh, I may as well post the actual link:o:o:

(Probably not best watched if you have recently suffered things of this sad nature. But, in time (take as long as you want), it's probably best as a coping mechanism (after several months or whenever you feel better). And perhaps it works better for people who have Asperger's I don't know.)

And I don't think you will be getting them anytime very soon ! Inspite of telling me last week they had caught up, they now say they still have a big backlog and really have no idea when they will be sent out - a few days is the best they could offer. I said I was going to be away mid August and she sounded a bit doubtful as to whether they would arrive by then.

So, we can stop chasing the postman expectantly cos it ain't gonna happen just yet!

    Ladyshopper Ds congratulations.
We have gone with Admiral multi car this time. OH's insurance wasn't due till next April but by adding it to the policy DD's insurance came down by £600 still a small mortgage to insure a car but hey ho!!

we have been with Admiral on a multi car policy for about 4 years now and we have no issues with them.

Each year when the quotes come in I ring them up to check all of the details and the first thing they do is to give me a loyalty discount on each car.
Generally we have 4 cars but it was up to 5 once - you have to check that your job description is correct - both sons had a wrong description and when we sorted it out the premium came down in price (one had just gone into full time work after being a student)

You also have to check how many years no claims you have and if this is correct and if you want to protect your no claims.

We have also tried moving the excess up and down but it does not seem to make a lot of difference

When we insured sons mini in January we found increasing the annual mileage to 6000 lowered his premium - I've asked since and it must have been a quirk as moving the mileage up or down has not affected any of the others.

Eldest child has still got us as her 2nd and 3rd name drivers, social only. But when eldest son insured his new car this week - he is now 25 - we are not the 2nd and 3rd drivers now - taking us off lowered the premium by £270

Ladyshopper, congrats on DS passing his test, note adding older drivers to your D/S insurance policy takes the price down, as does limited mileage, and keeping the car in a locked garage.

Savvy buyer, just seen your post from early hours whilst doing a catchup. Sorry that you are in a bad place just now. Thoughts, love and hugs to you for a relative speedy recovery back to your normal self? Such a shame that people don't know or really understand unless they have been or are there themselves. Take care sweet Savvy

I know - I'm just about to post that I might actually find the right link:rotfl::rotfl:.

I find it funny, the bit in the video, I think precisely because it's "not the way to react". Or at least it's an "unusual", or maybe even "shocking", way to react (and therefore funny). However, for a reason, perhaps it actually is the way to react - get over it quicker. Life would be less painful for me if I did react in that way (although perhaps not necessarily in front of people). I'll try it next time and see(:rotfl:). (I can laugh at this point as I'm emotionally distant from such a thing in my life but I do know what things like that have been for me, therefore part of how others might feel at similar times, and I do feel for people who are going through times like this at the moment.)

I'm not dismissing how it is for people. We deal with it the way we feel.
Okay - very sorry to hear, chin up, and wishing everyone all the best.:A

    Good afternoon Elite :hello:

Cold, wet and very windy here right now. Seems we have had a massive amount of rain whilst I've been gone too. Garden looks lovely but lottie not so good. DH hoping water drains away real quick.

Got a heap of washing to do but going to hold off until tomorrow. Changed DS4s bed and found my iPad in his room. Hope he hasn't been a nuisance.

LS good luck tomorrow for your op, hope it goes well and you are not too uncomfortable.

LFAB just seen someone trying to get your attention :rotfl:

SSM sorry to see the news of your FIL, he is out of pain now and in a better place. Maybe now the arguing will cease and the family pull together.

TM and TS enjoy your holidays, also the NERFIES, use extra pegs so the tent stays out with luck.

Right, need to continue with catchup, can't remember where I left off. Be tea time by the time I find out :rotfl: so may just read from this morning. The skipping doesn't agree with me anymore boohoo
