I know it goes against the grain of most people's thinking but the last few days rainy weather has been so welcome :-) After three to four weeks of next to no rain (where I live) and the grass turning yellow, my four empty water butts are now full and the plants look so much happier :j:j:j
Doesn't anybody on here enjoy the rain?"Rain is grace; rain is the sky descending to the earth; without rain, there would be no life."0 -

Must admit we needed it, its brightening up now, but i do prefer seasonal weather and not having to have the fire on like we did Friday :eek:Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -

Ummmmm, no. There's rain, which is welcome and then there is RAIN. My chickens have lost some of their dry run to the rain, my tomatoes aren't getting any sun to ripen them and blight is almost unstoppable on potatoes and tomatoes because of the humid conditions.

when my eldest DD who is now 30 was a baby, my health visitor suggested i pop a tic tac or polo mint into a bottle of cooled boiled water to help with her colic, it worked a treat. I dont suppose it would be reccommended nowadays but the oldest methods are always the best and well worth a try for anyone with a colicy baby. It`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.
