A little faith in humanity restored today.
Went to my sons graduation ceremony. :j:T:j:cool:
As I was about to put money into the car park machine, a lady drives by, opens her window, smiles, then asks me " would you like this "
Proceeds to hand me an all day paid ticket.
Love that. :ABack to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -

Just had a quick catch up.
Bubbs - hope your hubby is OK, that was a bit of a shocker for you! Build him up by giving him some Active 10+ UMF Manuka honey. It does work.
Hillbern - my hubby was told he'd have to wait until he was 65 for his knee replacements. He hasn't been able to walk hardly at all for about 3 years now. He did have an op near start of year when they took out 60%+ of the cartilage in his right knee, which made it less painful but it quickly became unstable. He is down for replacement in Oct/Nov & will still be 62. Get your hubby a scooter as at least it'll give him a little independence. We got a lightweight wheelchair at first but his shoulders started going & mine totally gave out pushing it.
AltoJack - has it been as far back as April when you had yours done? I think hubby thinks he'll be walking with no problems about a week after his op. He does all the exercises and when they took cartilage he was up out of bed walking down corridors and up stairs as soon as he could & back home within 5hrs of op, even though others having same op. were in 3 & 4 days & still no sign of them going home. We think that's why surgeon is doing the knee replacement before he's 65.
On the subject of ops. Hubby has had epidurals & been conscious during all of his. Heart Stent, angioplasty, diverticulitis and knee cartilage removal etc. etc.. He's actually WATCHED every single one of them on screen much to all of the surgeons surprise. OMG! He says it's his body and he wants to know what's going on! Rather him than me!
FC chin up girl - Don't let the b.....s get you down! Hope you'll be back soon.0 -

I hope he knows I don't really live in France. :eek:New Forest camping for a week:cool: also if anyone is interested centre parcs in France the 1st week of Easter is about 1/2 the price compaired to the 2nd week of Easter due to the French kids still being at school the 1st week and we booked 6 nights VIP for about £550 when the next week is over £1000:eek::eek:
Ooh that's a bit close for comfort Nerfy. :rotfl:
Good job I will be going opposite direction Saturday to my campsite.0 -
New Forest is my neck of the woods - have a lovely time - forget what age your kids are but if still young then adventure wonderland in Bournemouth is superb to go to and Moors Valley Park is a brilliant day out - just pay for parking and wonderful trials and play stuff for kids
:hello: DODO
Managed to get you some Caf! Direct Origins coffee today (94p I think) before I left for Stoke. Thanks to OP this morning. :T
We could have an Elite Meet at Moors valley, bet Nerfy would be good at the high ropes.0 -

Not me I was still driving at 2am and still in the wide awake club now, gone past the point of being tired.
Not a good day to drive up and down the country again.
M42 like the car park that is the M25 on the way up. And whose idea was it to shut the A34 tonight? I got rather lost, me and a lorry driver went round the roundabout twice looking for the diversion sign which I am sure was not there.
I followed a Ts lorry driver so far then he pulled over so I pulled into a garage opposite and then watched 2 more lorries pull up behind him. My sat nav just kept wanting me to turn around. In the end I braved it and got out and asked the last lorry driver before he got back in his cab and he said he was following the others, before I could get back on the road another lorry came along so it was little old me following a procession of lorries. I got a bit unstuck when they took different turnings at a roundabout as was not sure which way I was meant to go. :rotfl:
So have ended up driving 10 hours today.
I am going to be sooo tired tomorrow I mean today.0
