I never want to see another broad bean again :o the next beds of spuds aren't far off ready though. But with two large beds of them, I imagine that some of those will be given away too :rotfl::rotfl:

Oh I forgot about all the broad beans I've been choked with :rotfl: I'm not a big lover of them anyway but will eat them under duress.

Potatoes are ok at the moment, 2 varieties will store the main 2 big beds are down to potatoes to be picked October time, got the paper sacks left over from last year.

I've given away loads of lettuce of differing varieties as DH always plants far too many at any one time, he does stagger planting dates but omg who needs a row of about 25 lettuce plants all at the same time  YES a restaurant would :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

our broad beans never did to well this year, can you not store the potatoes for winter use..

I think so maybe. The lot we are working our way through now are in a box with newspaper and are doing ok. I think I'm only going to pull up a plant at a time until I can't leave them in the ground anymore, hopefully they'll last longer :D

I have a load of beetroot in the fridge that needs dealing with, plus another ten or so in the ground still. I pulled up the last of my broad beans on Tuesday. I'll only plant 5 this year. That'll be enough to see me through :rotfl: we can't eat the lettuce quick enough here, and he has been staggering planting. The chooks get quite a bit of it :D
