I use this 4in1 stuff, spray the weeds and 3-4 days later it's killed them and I just leave them. I don't bother digging them out. The stuff also makes the grass greener to.

It's like powder stuff and I dilute it and put it on the grass too :)

This sounds good - I need something to remove weeds at the edges of paths and along the drive - I expect I would need some sort of cover so the cats and fox don't put their feet on it

Most of the weedkillers I've seen say you only need to keep pets/kids off for around 4 or 6 hours (seems to depend on type), so not that long.

And thanks for the info Henlans :D

Secondly I am looking at the Turnocks tea cakes on Shopotize :j

I know the packs will work out free in a few places - Morrisons ??? Tesco???

do sada sell them so I can put them onto the
    sada v !!!!!! list

I was also wondering if it worked out more economical to buy the 10 pack of Turnocks although as we have a house full of jammie dodgers which will eventually go into the food bank bags and MCvities hobnob flapjacks which are being eaten very slowly but some packs might go the same way, buying 10 packs is probably not an option.

Get a bag of SP salt, and a bottle of SP vinegar, bring it to the boil to dissolve all the salt, then pour it on the weeds. Job done.
DO NOT do this near anything you want to live though ;)

Thirdly did everyone get their new printable MOC via the email update from Princes

    Princes Mackerel Boneless Fillets 50p

I've done a cursory look at mysupermarket and it seems to be on offer for 87p in places so that didn't look too bad if you take 50p off.

But then when I looked for similar versions of John West it is 69p - quite a bit cheaper and the Aldi version is 59p :(

I suppose it would be Ok as a filler item. I might just get it anyway as I've got a visitor in August or it would make a good food bank item

I am sorry to see that the constant sniping has led to PPRs of regular posters and it is clear many people are staying away - I can see why when this thread and people on it seem to come under attack from various quarters and it is not enjoyable having to read through some of the comments to keep up with glitches and other positive posts on the thread. Whenever politics, benefits or other controversial topics come up, there are major fallings out. Though discussions and debates are healthy, and everyone has a right to an opinion and to post, perhaps those types of discussions need to go elsewhere as they nearly always escalate and some people it appears will not move on.

Please can we respectfully ask, if you cannot be nice, please lurk or leave us alone. If it is becoming too much for you on here, it may also be worth taking time out as it is not worth letting this affect you or your RL. Whether you are a regular or a new poster, life is too short for so much negativity and it seems some people get real joy in winding other people up.

It used to be the case that new posters (sometimes obvious AEs) arrived to stir things up and attack people that they did not agree with, but a recent pattern is frequently (or indeed infrequently) posting members joining in and turning on one or other member. It is not big and not clever, it just makes this place a chore to visit and I for one have cut back and am missing glitches because I cannot be bothered with getting through the playground antics. I do hope you don't behave like this in RL.

For all you positive people posting on here, please do carry on and stick with it - hopefully things will settle and we can enjoy reading and posting on here again.

Ps - To be 100% clear, my frequently/infrequently comment above is not referring to any posters of similar names, it is simply a turn of phrase, like any posts referring to anonymous I assume are generally not referring to me unless I am told otherwise :).

    Hear hear :T:T

This place has not been the fun place it usually has been recently :( too much b'ing and backstabbing which is reminiscent of a playground. I read the posts that kicked some of it off and I didn't see any hint of it being a personal attack, but it was taken that way and the thread seems to have split in three because of it - one side, the fence and the other side.

This is the stupid, childish behaviour that has been all too often seen on Facebook. If you wanna carry on like that, b*gger off over there and leave this thread to those who don't want to have to read so much spitefullness
