So glad that you are getting on so well after your knee op altojack :j

Thanks 3Dogs, all I want now is for the swelling to go down and the muscle over the knee to quit being tender  then I'll be better able to drive longer distance, so look out Northeast ! :)

    Afternoon all.
I spent the last weekend visiting elderly relatives.
I found out that my Dad was in an Elite group during the war.The first SAS set up in 1941.He never spoke much about the war although we know he was blinded in one eye and deafened in one ear and spent some months in hospital .
I come back here and realise what a self centred/materialistic society we have become.
And as for the suggestion that old age pension should be cut by £10.The old folk deserve 10 times more for the sacrifices they made.

This thread doesn't deserve the Elite name with all the backbiting and snide remarks etc.

my grandad was blinded in the first war and he didn't tell us much at all. It does open your eyes though and realise how much better off we are and yet still some not happy with that but want even more.
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

Also the day doesn't reset at midnight. I think it's probably at 1am like walkers was

    you may.

they are 3 for £1 in asda and other stores. and 4 packs = a cinema ticket.
so 4 pack of sweets and a cinema ticket for cineworld for a potential £1.33
    http://tictachappy.com/

Thank you. I feel sure that Jack sells cheap Tic Tacs - may be a bit soon for the promo packs but worth a look. We don't have cineworld round here to my knowledge :(.
