These are £1 in my store but according to SEL, they are on rollback rather than RTC - would that make a difference? I see them for £2.49 on MSM.

They we're on roll bk to £1 just gone up (online)

I wish we could have done more to help my girls but while I was looking after my mum it wasn't an option.

They did both go off to uni with all the gear, for single living, like bedding, towels, kitchen stuff etc that mostly came from glitches/offers I found on MSE. :D

And they always raid/ed my stashes which I think thankfully has kept them out of their overdrafts. :)

    Congratulations to your eldest M4T1N.

    Thank you TS :)

Sounds like you have done a great job to me :)

We were lucky enough that we were able to sort it that he stayed with relatives whilst in university.

As renting around university's is extortionate.

    That is very jammy. :T

That's why DD2 is coming home to do her Masters, she is doing it at same uni but as less contact time needed can travel up and either crash on mates sofas etc or even paying for Premier Inn for few nights will work out cheaper than renting/bills for a whole year.

Will be hard to adjust to keeping the place quiet for study though. Me and Mr TS are known to be quite vocal at times. :o

Has your DS managed to go straight into work from uni? DD1 found it hard.

Had to put this amazing Kindle book on here - you can read on PC/app if you haven't got a Kindle & it's well worthwhile reading! I think some of you may be interested. Instead of Monsanto, it's Wellcome Pharmaceuticals, big money, corruption etc. etc. etc. Stonking good read!

This is an extremely well written book that literally blew my mind. It's VERY thought provoking and an extremely good read. I had no inkling that HIV & Aids probably have no connection OR that up to 10% of HIV tests gave false positives OR that the 'cure' probably cost 300,000 lives as the chemicals used were corrosive to the body. How many of us would know this unless you've a close friend or family member affected? I started reading and after just 10% I was googling as I just couldn't believe what I was reading. Only 25% through the book and it's one of the best I've read in a very long time.

Conspiracy theory, money grabbing pharmaceuticals, fame & fortune grabbing scientists etc. etc.

FREE & there are 2 others by same author free too.

Ripped from the headlines of today's news, "Are You Positive?" is a fictitious courtroom drama in the style of John Grisham.

26-year-old Tyree Johnson stands accused of first degree murder in a prominent South Carolina courtroom. But his murder weapon is not a gun or a knife; in fact, there was no violent crime at all. His “victim,” Beth Ann Brooks, dated Tyree for a few months, and they made love more than once. However, Tyree Johnson had been diagnosed HIV-Positive, and the prosecution claims that Beth Ann Brooks was infected with HIV by Tyree and died some months later.

The defense, however, claims there is reasonable doubt that Tyree’s HIV diagnosis was wrong – that, according to numerous scientific studies, the so-called “HIV tests” are fraught with errors, and have been ever since their inventor, Dr. Robert Gallo, lied on his patent application. Furthermore, Tyree’s lawyer argues that there is no scientific evidence that HIV is transmitted by heterosexual intercourse, and that Tyree’s girlfriend died from taking lethal anti-retroviral drugs rather than from any HIV/AIDS-related illness.

Based on more than 500 actual scientific studies and references, the author claims that every word of sworn testimony is true and verifiable.

"Are You Positive?" raises serious questions about whether anyone has ever been properly diagnosed as HIV-Positive, and whether most AIDS victims are dying from the side-effects of the HIV medications prescribed by their doctors – all in a spell-binding novel.

    You be the judge.

    JC Hargreaves says:
Any author is entitled to write piece of fiction that may be an abuse of science even to the extent of it being simply being scientifically wrong. Where waters become murkier is when a work of fiction is being used as propaganda to advocate or advance as TRUE a particular point of view that scientifically discredited.

I think this the same Stephen Davis who routinely classed as as an AIDS denialist. AIDS denialism is the view held by a loosely connected group of people and organizations who deny that the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is the cause of acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). Some denialists reject the existence of HIV, while others accept that HIV exists but say that it is a harmless passenger virus and not the cause of AIDS. Insofar as denialists acknowledge AIDS as a real disease, they attribute it to some combination of sexual behavior, recreational drugs, malnutrition, poor sanitation, hemophilia, or the effects of the drugs used to treat HIV infection. 9Wiki)

Meanwhile another site remarked that "Stephen Davis, a former US Army "Physician's Assistant" is the author of a novel that also claims to be "the true story of how government lies and incompetence, gross medical malpractice, and unbridled greed by a drug company cost 300,000 American lives in just ten years". Like most AIDS denialists, he is not a scientist and prefers his own websites to peer-reviewed journals for the dissemination of his crackpot theories. His own website has a bio that exposes his lack of appropriate medical and scientific expertise."

    I have no intention of reviving this debate on AIDS. And it may be this is a gripping work of courtroom drama, but it is worth sounding a note of caution to be very careful to accept any part of as scientifically correct. As one journal noted;

"Because these denialist assertions are made in books and on the Internet rather than in the scientific literature, many scientists are either unaware of the existence of organized denial groups, or believe they can safely ignore them as the discredited fringe. And indeed, most of the HIV deniers' arguments were answered long ago by scientists. However, many members of the general public do not have the scientific background to critique the assertions put forth by these groups, and not only accept them but continue to propagate them".

Just wondering, do you get through a lot of tinfoil ?

    :p

    Hello Everyone,

I received 10 walkers vouchers in the post today exp dates are 22/7 expected them to be earlier so pleased with that.

OH popped in to our local with a voucher this evening first time he has used one and refused to take it, apparently have stopped taking them, I know it will be a certain member of staff making the rules up as she goes along. That's why I don't shop in Mr T wouldn't give them my last 1p.
