Yes, when I think about it I don't think we even had one card or letter nothing whilst eldest son was away - 3 years serving abroad, we got random calls in which he said ring me back white he was in Cyprus and we had very good skype in Kabul. But it's me that has been writing letters, e bluesy, emails and sending parcels every week ..
    Deep sigh.
Youngest sons card now on the mantel piece forever.

I didn't have brothers so I am glad to have it confirmed underwear swapping is normal with brothers :rotfl: I know it used to send Youngest son crackers - he was living at home at the time. He would be furious and say J had gone back to Cyrus and taken all of his underwear with him

:rotfl: I think, they think we're the parents so we should make all the effort. But it's so nice to hear from them when they do finally decide to contact you.

Oh yeah it's defiantly normal for lads, I don't even bother putting there underwear away in their drawers anymore. They have more showers and changes in a day, I'd spend my life putting boxers in drawers :rotfl: I wash them, dry them and store them on the utility room worktop. My towels are kept in cupboards in there also. So it's much easier for them to grab a towel a pair of boxers and run :rotfl:
