Hi All

Hoping you can help me with a query as I'm a little confused. Applied for a CapOne classic and the automated online check at the end said congratulations it's a yes, with a basic limit of £200. Received no email confirmation.

Phone CapOne today and they said thats a provisional acceptance and that further checks were needed, I'm confused as to what is now needed and why it said yes and stated a limit??

We can only guess, but this disgraceful practice is pretty typical for financial companies.

Thanks for your response grumbler, I'm just confused as to why it stated I had been accepted showing a credit limit, no mention of further checks?

I applied for one almost 3 weeks ago, did the electronic signature, said (online) they'd accepted and a limit of £1000, not heard anything since.
I called them last week and they said it's in "the final stage" of the application. Still nothing though, no emails, no letters, nothing.
