Harveys!

ordered my sofas online on 31st December 2014 and understand that once all the finance has been approved the order date would be 23rd January 2015.

I emailed on 5th March, 1st April , 5th May , 27th May, to enquire about my sofas. Finally got a call saying my sofas would be in the warehouse 11th June. I arranged delivery date for 18th June and to expect a call from the driver.

I received a call from the driver early on 18th June to say he would be with me before 11am. I then proceeded to freecycle my 2 sofas and they were collected at 9.30 am.

I then received a call from delivery driver to say that he has paperwork that they are on the lorry but they are not on the lorry!!

Reveived a call to say delivery 7th july ! today! turned up WRONG COLOUR!! gone back!

its just a joke! no one from harveys is bothered! they couldn't care a less!

so its now 7 months and still no sofas!

Going to cancel & go elsewhere!!!

Cancel and claim for failed delivery!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

This concerns me as we've had problems with them too.

We ordered furniture in store on 21st June and delivery was arranged for yesterday (6th July). It was confirmed twice by text.

We then got a call yesterday morning saying they had 'lost' the furniture in the warehouse so couldn't deliver it. Needless to say I wasn't impressed & was promised someone would call me to confirm a new date (no one did). Phoned today and the issue has been 'resolved' and delivery arranged for 21st July (!), another 2 weeks.

It concerns me as we also ordered a sofa at the time and were quoted 14 weeks for delivery, an age I know, but we loved the sofa so were happy to wait, but if experience so far is anything to go by I'm not going to hold out much hope.

Such a shame as the service in store was fantastic, but the phone customer service and delivery not so much.

    Harvey's our story

We ordered our two sofas from Harveys on 13th June and were told that delivery would be on the 29th (like most people we disposed of the old furniture the day before). Our son, who is home from University, stayed in all day awaiting the arrival only for them not to appear. A phone call next day to the 'Customer Services department (what a joke) followed. Need to await the paperwork from the delivery driver will ring you back. No call. Phoned again the next day driver stated that he tried to deliver the items but nobody was in - son adamant that he stayed in all day and that nobody came. 'Don't worry' in all cases the driver will attempt to deliver again.... No!

Phoned the store where we purchased the sofas and spoke to the manager .......' best way forward is to reset delivery date' -7th July agreed- text or phone call the day prior to confirm. No text or call received. Phoned store spoke to Assistant Manager 'Don't worry have checked delivery definitely delivered today between 12 and 7. O/h stayed in all day camped out by the front window .... No delivery. Phoned Customer service asked to speak with a manager but informed that they don't get into work until 10.30. Explained the situation ....... must await paperwork from delivery team due this afternoon, will phone then. After hearing of our utter frustration and disappointment of being told this numerous times before informed 'Sorry but I'm different when I say I will phone.........' No call.

Q: Where do I stand if we wish to cancel these items; which we purchased on (in-house) finance?
At the present time we have not made our first payment but this is due soon.

We ordered a matching sofa set from Harveys that turned up with a damaged leg, I reluctantly agreed to the repair as the sofas where now discontinued.

I knew that any repair would not be as strong or as lasting as a as new set, I made this comment but was given the scripted answer.

To be fair the repair was conducted quickly and at the time seemed reasonable, However two weeks ago the same leg has snapped off.
I am still waiting for a reply from customer services.
