I use Windows Live Mail to download my emails, I have various Virgin and Blueyonder email addresses and also use it to read newsgroups.
What would be a suitable substitute to use with Windows 10 when I install it or will Windows Live Mail work with Windows 10?

Thunderbird would probably be your best choice. Plenty of customisation if needed, or, just use as is if not.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

will windows live mail not work with windows 10? i hadn't heard of that. that's enough to put me off upgrading as i have around 5,000 emails in both inbox and sent box and do not want to lose them or the way they are organised.0

Interesting that Windows Live Mail is the third item on that list. From some brief googling it seems that those with the preview of W10 are able to run WLM ... the unknown at this stage is whether MS will disable its functionality when W10 is officially released and steer users towards newer apps.
I for one hope that WLM will continue to run under W10. I like the whole look and feel of it and it has served me well as a POP3 client over the years.... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0 -
