Dear All,
I know that for business there is software or are services that will have a look at your monthly statements and categories each entry into sales, travel expense, supplier costs... and so on, allowing for a convenient analysis of the accounts.
Is there any software/service (happy to pay), that will do that for my personal account ? Like give me a detailed breakdown of how much I spend on rent, food, leisure, investments.... ?
Thanks

I think Money Dashboard might do this. I registered for the service just to get free cashback from TCB (not currently available), and don't actively use it. It seems to be safe.0

Microsoft money still does the job for me. You will have to use ebay/amazon to get a copy but it it worth it.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Yes, I still use MS Money 2000 which does that to the degree I need it.0

MS Money has been ideal for me. I have used it for years with no problems. Or you could design your own on a spreadsheet using Excel or similar.0

While I use and like MS Money, microsoft have sadly given up on it, I've looked at alternatives, the one I like is Money Manager Ex as its feel is similar to ms money, plus it's open source so free to use

I keep looking around for an alternative, the trouble is I've got transactions going back to 1993 that it would be handy to not lose. That said, I have done no research into whether there's an 'export' facility in the version I have.
On the other hand I'm quite a basic user - I have no funds or shares in there, just basic accounts and transactions.0 -

We've been using this. It's a little complicated to understand at first, but once you understand all the accounting, then it's quite simple. IT can be used for business or personal finances, so if you're used to business side of things, then this should be really helpful for you. If you use linux, i think you can get it through the installation manager, otherwise use the link above.
It doesn't have a lot of fancy bells and whistles, but it has plenty of built in features that are extremely useful to us.0 -
Can you link to the barclays one you mentioned please ?
Unless I am mistaken MS requires you to categories the items yourself. I am looking for something that does it automatically or to pay someone to do it.0
