Just applied for this but put myself (the earner) down first and now realise I have done it the wrong way around.

Funnily enough I did the same, got the initial follow up email now waiting for the verification one to see what happens, not worth the cost of running up a phone bill, probably would negate any savingsNo two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere0 -

see no.6 on the link below - If you think your tax code is wrong (due to incorrect Marriage Allowance application) maybe you can use this online form "Tell HMRC"

You can call HMRC, there are a team of specially trained advisors who can rectify this for you over the phone. Ring first thing in the morning, some advisors are available before the lines officially open at 8am0
