Would a tourist attraction turn you away if you did this ?

My brother and his family recently visited us from overseas, they wanted to visit Warwick Castle. Booking online, 2 adults and one child was £70, however a family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) was £50. I wonder what would have happened it they purchased the family ticket and arrived with just the one child.

I guessing they wouldn't be too happy as I assume the family ticket saving is offset by the extra person / child buying drinks/food/other stuff during the visit.

Gosh, as the mother of an only child I never thought of doing this. Hope someone can share experience.

Are you comparing the same dates, which date are you looking at? It should be still be cheaper to buy 2A + 1C.

You can use a family ticket. It's "up to" 2 children. If it's cheaper than 2A and 1C then buy the family ticket.

Or be friendly and ask another family approaching the ticket gate (a 2 adult 1 child or 2 adult 3 child group) if they have tickets yet and if they would like to get one of their kids in for free and 'add' them to your group on the way through?

Like when someone gives you their car parking ticket with plenty of time still left on it, its always a nice gesture to save someone else a few quid.

Agree with this - it sounds like he's not comparing like for like

    I've been Money Tipped!
Or pre buy the child ticket online, and pick up a Kelloggs 2 for 1 entry voucher in the supermarket? I've done this at many merlin places - they're happy to mix and match tickets.
