Samsung repair

Options
Hi I sent my Samsung galaxy s3 in for repair, sent it to Samsung. It was in working order when I sent it in and took a video of this for proof in case it comes back not working as I have had problems in the past with Samsung repair service. It was the battery port which wasn't working and I told them this. After about a week I got the phone back and yes the phone had not been repaired and came back not working. Just spoke to a customer adviser and they said its not there fault the phone is not working it was a faulty main board. So if it was why was the phone working for me when I sent it in. I said its not my fault either as I sent it in working. I told the service advisor im taking this further he just turned round and said do what you want madame. Rubbish customer service.

Where can I go to take this further as im not happy as im left with a phone I cant use. This happen with a Samsung tablet last year with the same problem the charging port was faulty. Sent it in to Samsung and they actually said it was the same fault. The main board was faulty Makes me wonder if they do this all the time.

Any advice please would be helpful

    So to clarify.

The phone worked before you sent it, but wouldn't charge.

They have sent it back and its still not possible to charge it but additionally it now doesnt turn on?

Is that the case? (btw, faulty mainboard might not be the right wording, looks like they are saying this is user damage not a warranty repair).
  • Yes I had a different charger to charge the phone. I used a usb charger which you use on pc. That's how I charged the phoned up. The phone is not under warranty but I was prepared to pay for this service. They said it had liquid damage to the main board on phone. Im cross because I sent it in working everything was fine with the phone, it worked perfectly. They said they shut the phone down to do the tests on it and the fault was liquid damage to the main board. I had a battery already charged up so when it came back I could see if it was working. It wont turn on at all now. Ive not touched the inside of the phone at all. Seems like Ive come to a dead end and cant take this any further . Its so annoying

Liquid damage is shown by indicators inside the phone .
Ask for photos of the indicators .
  • I will try and get them to give me photos, there not very helpful at all, thanks
