Savings and residency and opening bank accounts

I am a uk citizen but live abroad I only spend about a month a year in the UK. I continue to pay national insurance but do not pay tax on Uk earnings because I have none. I have a number UK bank accounts and in the past have held various savings accounts I have paid tax on my savings.
In wanting to move my money and take advantage of better rates for savings I keep finding terms and conditions which require me to be a UK resident.
What are the conditions of residency?
What can I do with my savings if not put them in UK banks?
If I use my parent's address as mine and open these accounts what may be the consequences?
I'm sure there are many others in my position.
Thanks in advance for any advice given.

When you apply for an account, banks will check your Electoral Roll (ER) and your Credit File Agency (CRA) entries. If the address you use on the application tallies with ER/CRA records, you will probably not be asked for further proof of ID and address. If they don't find you, or if there are discrepancies, you might get asked to present proof of ID and address in person at a bank Branch.0
