can i afford to move in with girlfriend who is on family tax credit

girl friend has two children, we want to live together, her ex pays nothing, will she loose money.

    we need a bit more info regarding her situation - does your girlfriend work or does she claim Income Support?

    Everybody gets Tax Credits but just at different rates, depending on your situation.

    You need to look at what you would gain overall.

    I lost some tax credits when my OH moved in with us, but we gained overall as his salary was more than I lost.

    Also we gained from having him around the house spending time with us, both fun times and helping with chores. Life as a family is far easier than life as a single parent, and that is priceless!
    Here I go again on my own....
