Telephone numbers

Sorry if this is a bit simple, but I can't find any answers on Ebay.

How can I find the telephone number of another ebay user?

A few times, I have been telephoned. Once by a seller offering me a second chance offer, and another by a buyer wanting to collect an item he had won (before I had sent an invoice).

Whenever I have tried, I can't get any details of other users unless I have actually received an invoice from them or they have paid an invoice of mine.

Am I missing something obvious?

If you are not in a transaction with a seller then ebay will not give you any personal information. The only way to contact them is to "ask seller a question" on their item listing.

Thanks for that. I've just tried it, but it sends details to both the enquirer and the member being enquired about, of both parties' details. I've never received one of these, so the other members must be getting my telephone number by some other means. Anyone any more ideas?

No that is the only way through ebay. People can get your telephone number through other means on the internet if they have your name and even just part of your address.

I've never ever been called by anyone except for one genuine buyer who tried to leave his credit card details on my ansaphone (really!) but my home number is ex directory.

When you send your invoice( or receive it) the other persons telephone number is below their address usually, obviously, not everyone puts that information in though.
