Neighbours cuprinol fence sprayer vs my house

My new neighbour decided he wanted to paint the fence. He used Cuprinol spray paint. I was out at the time. When I returned I have dark brown freckles in the following places:
- on my path slabs
- all over my downstairs windows at the side of the house
- all over the stone aggregate at the side of the house
- all over the bricks and mortar at the side of the house
- all over the meter cupboards.
- on my garage door and on the facias / soffits on the garage

I knocked on the door, but he wasn't in, so I left a note. He did come around and was very apologetic. I was nice, but firm and said I wanted the paint removed off the bricks and anything else that I couldn't remove myself. He said he'd ring the manufacturers to see what they suggested to use. After spending the last 5 hours scrubbing I've got it off everything except the bricks, mortar and paving slabs. I'm not really sure how I can get it off. I'm really mad.

You either need a wire brush or sand paper as you need to take a very thin layer of the mortar/brick off.
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.
  • Thanks Phil. I'm really reluctant to try anything that may damage the brickwork. Esp as house is only 7 years old. Really annoyed.
  • Thanks Poetry. I had done a Google search but not spotted that one. Jeez that sounds like a lot of hassle though esp as its nearly 12 feet high in places! Arghhh!

Let the neighbour pay for a professional to do the work.
  • Is that fair though as I'm sure it wasn't meant deliberately and my neighbour is elderly. Any what type of professional would I need?

Tried a pressure washer on the hard surfaces?
I used one to remove stain from a concrete wall

Well it depends how close you hold the end of the nozzle to the wall. A pressure washer can damage a lot of things if you hold it too close.

I would be very wary of letting a pressure washer anywhere near your bricks and mortar op no matter how careful you are, and as for fair , is it fair that you now have this problem , which you didnt have before this clown turned up to do the fence spraying ?
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.
