Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place here? I'm considering start a not-for-profit / charity but have absolutely no idea how to get started. I know there are places which help new businesses get started, but I see nothing regarding NFP's or charities. Where / who do I turn to for start-up advice and help?

In addition to Pluto's link, ask yourself 'Why?' Setting up a charity isn't for the faint-hearted.

And note that 'NFP' is not a legal status, and that you'll either get more income than you spend, or fail.

Another place to look would be your local volunteer centre: google volunteer plus your city / town / county to find it.
