Anyone used Sykes cottages?

Have you used this site to book a cottage holiday? How was the process, can you recommend them?

Hi, I have used Sykes on 3 occasions but stayed in the same cottage each time.

The cottage was exactly how it was presented on the website. The information regarding the location and the owners contact details were up to date and relevant. The only one issue that I've had with Sykes was that when we booked online, the money was taken but the company hadn't actually made the booking so the cottage was still showing available. Luckily we noticed within a couple of weeks and it was sorted. Other than this, I find the website good to use and the confirmations clear and accurate.

I've used Sykes as well - I think twice before. Didn't have any problems, although I have just been back the website and I can see they have a new booking system, so can't comment on that.

I've used them once. It was about 3yrs ago, for a cottage in the Peak District (Baslow I think it was). It all went very smoothly, everything was exactly as advertised and I'd happily use them again in the future.
