Laptop recommendations

Options
Looking to buy a new laptop as the old one is on the last legs and has probably had a good innings (keyboard worn out & having to use an external one these days, screen/casing cracked)

Current system – 6 year old Dell Vostro 1510 (300gb hd [about 225gb used], 3gb ram, Intel Core2 Duo processor)

Mobile Usage – usually at home and on the house wifi, rarely on the move/roaming

Power/Battery – nearly always run off the mains rather than battery

Mostly use the laptop for spreadsheets, word processing and surfing the net.

Suggestions welcome please……..

    no budget constraints

stating the obvious i wouldn't want to pay for something better than i need but no objection to paying for quality, if it lasts six years like the last one all good
  • I've been using Medion (both for PCs and laptops) for years, and always found them excellent.

There's a fair range to choose from (I've got a nifty little E1317T, 10.1", which even came with a full version of Office 2013), at quite reasonable prices.
