tax credit underpayment from this year

Hi, I have done my renewal and according to the calculator since april we have been recieving about £100 a month less than we shouldve been. Will we recieve this back as a lump sum or will they just add it to our existing claim? Dont mind which, just curiosity really and cant find anything online that says how they do it. Is it a lump sum if its normally over a certain amount or if its just from end of previous year?

Thank you.

    Hi,
ok, i had a payment go in which was probably from last year and wasnt far off what was on my form as a potential payment.
It wasnt a change though, it was just renewal. Our income figures were different to what the award was based on,
    actual income 13-14- 30302
    estimate 14-15 35700
    actual income 14 -15 was 28696
potential payment on award was 664 and i got 803 aweek after renewal.

    Thankyou.
