Can anyone please recommend a good quality doorbell with the following features:
1. Wireless / cordless
2. Battery operated as it would be used in an area with frequent power outages. Ideally it should take rechargeable as well as ordinary batteries.
3. Waterproof so it doesn't get damaged in the rain
4. A good range...the greater the distance the better but 100m + should be ok.
Thanks!!

The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.

Pretty much every battery operated wireless doorbell will give you what you want, but it will all depend on the construction of your property.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0

All such devices have power output limited by law to a few milliWatts. So the range in the open air might just be 100m but, if the signal has to pass through anything solid, you'll be out of luck.
There's also the problem of interference. Make sure that the receiver ("bell") is well away from any source of interference (DECT phone, anything using WiFi, etc.) otherwise it will effectively be "blinded" by interference.0 -
Thank you!!!
The reviews are overwhelmingly good and there's no plug-in-the-wall so I've ordered one.
Thanks to everyone also. Much appreciated.Jimmithecat wrote: »http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00EVNV7UO?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage

Highly doubt anything you mentioned will interfere, most doorbells operate around 430Mhz range, whereas wifi is 2.4ghz / 5ghz and Dect phones about 1.9ghz.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
slightly O/T, I wondered why every home I delivered too in Brighton had a family called Friedland..
Later found out that was the name of firm that made the doorbells..:rotfl:breathe in, breathe out- You're alive! Everything else is a bonus, right? RIGHT??0
