Nicest insurers & nicest brokers?

Any recommendations for nice insurers and/or brokers for home and contents insurance? Not cheapest, nicest.
By way of background, last year my family changed insurers because the broker just wasn't doing anything and the insurance was running out, but the new brokers got in such a pickle that they sent, I think, about 8 or 9 versions of the policy cover for a house with previous underpinning (a long time ago), a few minor problems and an odd layout.
I also, some years back, had an insurer that spent an inordinate amount of time quibbling over a very small claim in respect of a burglary.
There's also the practicality that there needs to be two policies because the property is owned by one family member (who needs house insurance) and the contents by another family member (who needs contents cover) and it needs to be the same insurer so that if the place goes up in flames or something, they're less likely to haggle over what's buildings and what's contents.
So I'm interested in finding the nicest broker and the nicest insurers.
Ok, mse is about saving money so we tend to swap recommendations as to which is the cheapest whatever, including insurance.
However, sorting out my house and contents insurance, including making any claims (which I hope I shan't have to) has a monetary value for me, albeit one that I haven't calculated.
In short: cheap insurance + unhelpful attitude works out (for me) more expensive than expensive insurance + helpful attitude. So I want to save my time & effort (= my money) by finding the nicest insurers and brokers.
Likewise, the wider the cover the better, including things like accidental damage to reduce arguments of the likes of "no, the house falling down wasn't covered, because you leant against the front wall so it's accidental damage in respect of the windows and..."
Any recommendations for brokers and/or insurers?
I include in that where there's a company that's an agent for just one insurer as well as a broker that checks out several insurers.
I don't want to spend ages and ages on price comparison websites.
Thank you in advance.

Try Hiscox.0

Thank you. I've just taken a quick look at the website and it looks like they may have what we need, so that the bit of our family that owns the property can take out buildings insurance and the bit living in it can take out contents and I, being the one running around sorting it, can make sure they're all happy.0

You wont find many agents with a single tied insurer unless you're really talking MGAs and in very niche areas.
Hiscox is the most obvious option, in their Direct model they do a borderline High Net Worth policy. Alternatively they distribute their full fat HNW policy via appropriate brokers.
If you feel you are in that space then Chubb is another obvious one to look at but they only go via brokers.0 -
Thanks. That's useful.0

We have always found The Prudential to be easy to deal with and any claims we have made have always been efficiently dealt with. Definitely not the cheapest though!0
