no fault accident .in Ireland

Last Sunday I was driving in Southern Ireland .
I was stopped on traffic and the car behind drove into my car .
The other car is Registered in Southern Ireland ,police where called and the driver admitted liability .
We exchanged phone numbers reg details and she gave me her insurance policy number . In Ireland the insurance number is on the windscreen .
When I got home ,I texted the other party asking who her insurance was with and her address .
She refused to give me any details ,just saying the insurance will sort it .
I eventually tracked down her insurance (aviva ) who hadn't been told about the accident .
They said the car was insured but not in the name I was given .They said she may be using her maiden name.
Aviva Ireland said they would arrange for an inspection of the car ,but they had no way of paying a garage in the UK for any repairs.
I then notified my insurance (LV) they said they could arrange for the repair and claim it back from Aviva .
This seemed a good option considering what aviva had told me .
I brought the car to the LV recommended garage on Monday they assessed it and it was booked in for today .
Aviva sent an assessor who checked the car on behalf of aviva .I told then it was booked for in for repair today .
I received a letter today from LV stating I have to pay the £100 excess on the repair .(because they haven't spoken to aviva ).
I phoned LV who said they can't find the car detail in the UK and cant find who its insured with .It is insured in Ireland .
LV haven't spoken to aviva .
Has anyone an experience of claiming in a different country .
