Hi I am about to renew my car Ins and want to find if it worth protecting NCB or not and weather I should have high or low policy access

access? Do you mean excess? You can put the excess at whatever you want, though you should check compulsory excesses as they can depend on your age / length of driving.
Protecting NCD I think it depends how many NCD you have. When you protect NCD and you make a claim the premium still rises, but the discount % would stay the same.0 -
There'll be a compulsory excess which you're stuck with, and a voluntary excess which you can choose (within certain limits). It's worth playing about a bit with the voluntary one. My quote had a voluntary excess of £350 but when I adjusted down to £0, the premium only went up by £16.
I like to protect my NCB as although I know my premium will still rise in the event of a claim, it's not going to be as bad as without a protected NCB. But it's really up to you.0 -
