EE signal hopeless in my house!

I have a new HTC M8 with EE.
I am unable to make or take calls, texts or messages when I try to use my phone inside my house. The signal dies when I walk through the front door.
To make any calls, I have to go outside onto the driveway or worse still, go and sit in my car and use the Bluetooth external or remote sim connection (Skoda) in the car.
This is driving me crazy as it makes working from home almost impossible to do using the work phone!
My old Nokia 6210 (!!!) still works perfectly indoors at home. My wife's O2 mobile works fine, as does my Vodafone Nokia 3370.
So is the HTC or the EE signal thats at fault? It appears that the newer the phone, the worse the performance in terms of connectivity.
Can I challenge EE and/or is there anything that can improve the EE signal in my home????

My guess is you are in a fringe 4/3G area. You don't say what the 6210 is on but it's possible it's not on 4G or 3G but dropping back to a better 2G signal so hence a better connection. Did you try it with a payg sim card before you got the phone and contract? If it's suddenly got bad it's possible it's a local cell tower with a problem.
Can you challenge EE over it. Not really, as you contract would state No network guarantees coverage especially indoors as the construction of a building throws up many variables. You may be able to get a femto cell type device, or depending on when and where you got it return it under any customer goodwill scheme to cancel it and change to another network.
Should have also put a femtocell (EE call it a signal box ) is something you may have to buy and you must have broadband to use it. Preferably a good 10+ me speed. As it uses broadband if you have a slow line or are a heavy internet user quality can vary1 -
My 6210 is actually on Vodafone PAYG (as a spare phone) and it works perfect!
I have spoken to EE about it and basically they said its not there problem as the phone works outside the house.
They are looking to launch a Singal Box of some kind or an App to boost the signal but this is not available yet.
What I do object to is having to supplement the signal by using my home broadband connection as this has a usage limit and surely if the signal is being routed through the BB then every time I make a call at home, this deducts from my total?0 -
As you are with EE have you looked into Wifi calling? I know the iPhone 6 and Galaxy 5 &6 can do it so an M8 may also. If for some reason the M8 won't then you might get lucky asking for a signal box (they do already exist as I have had one for a few years now) which does the same job though I suspect they won't offer one now wifi calling has been rolled out. Also would be better to speak to the EE technical people who are on the ball and very helpful. As for using some of your usage, calls & texts the data used would be very little against the convenience of good calls and texts?1

Hi
I also have the same problem as I checked in an EE store and they said they should never have signed me up to EE as their is little or no signal!
They just keep saying they have changed my broadband settings yet still it doesn't work.
I asked to cancel yet they say I have to pay them a penalty!
I asked for their complaints process but they won't give it out so I emailed the CEO directly Olaf Swantee but they don't seem to care a jot!
And it seems they may not be ruled by the Ombudsman.....
Also why can't I put an angry man icon on here lol!1 -
