Just by an inverter from Maplin then you can run any low-power mains device.wearewolves wrote: »Even if it doesn't come with one, does anyone know if it's possible to buy a generic adaptor that will run this from a 12V cig socket in a car?
Here's one:

I reckon that the fact that it is Region 2 only is a negative point on what is pretty good value player.
I can't tell the model number from the Tesco website but a hack is possibly listed here :

Thanks to OP, just picked one up, but am having difficulty finding a multiregion hack. Anyone been successful? It is quite a basic unit (no optical output, no AV input, not even leads to connect to a telly!!) but will play all of my DVD-+R's and will play mp3's (tho it does not say so on the box or instructions.) All in all, a good buy!0 -
Hello
Picked one of these up early this morning. Quite impressive for the price. It comes with a rechargable clip on battery pack. Mains plug/charger, and a remote. Doesn't seem to have pause, but does have x32 search and reverse.
I seem to be having problems with +R discs off of the DVD recorder. -R off the PC seem to be fine.
It doesn't play region 1 discs. Hopefully someone has a hack for it. Don't fancy ripping stuff to the PC then transferring to another disc. Plays pretty much everything else though.
All in all I'm happy with it. Just need the region 1 hack.0 -
