Digital Radio Coverage ( absolute radio )

I am driving round a very rural area ( South Hams, Devon ) for my work, and enjoy listening to Absolute Radio while i do.

Seems to work best on 1197, but reception is still very patchy.

Would like to upgrade to DAB radio,but according to the coverage map, Absolute have no coverage in my area yet

I think coverage may improve by end 2016 but thats a long way off...

Anyone in the know re approx schedules for Absolute digital going nationwide ?

I dont have/want a smartphone as i know that may be a workaround way of getting sttaion via App...

Isn't the main channel a national one?

I wouldn't rely on any announced schedule. Stations will start and stop on various transmitters according to the costs of transmission and the revenue gained from advertising in those areas.
