AO refuse refund of faulty new washing machine

This was the first date AO could fit the engineer in.
Sorry, but I agree with the poster who stated you're being unreasonable. So a week after ordering a machine and paying for one
Dear god, so you have ordered, had delivered and installed a washing machine, they've gotten an engineer out to you who has confirmed the fault, they've said they will investigate once the report is received - what more do you want? And this was all done within 1 week, that's a pretty fast turnaround time and NOT unreasonable.
Just because you phone a company and start quoting SOGA and demanding a refund does not mean you are going to get it! AO have rightly stood their ground and had an engineer inspect first which they are well within their rights to do so!
You state you are never going to order from them again, why? Because you said jump and they refused to ask how high?
As far as I can tell you reported a fault, they sent an engineer who confirmed the fault and will now likely collect the machine and refund you (plus they appear to have gotten all of this sorted fairly quickly) - nothing about this is unreasonable apart from you demanding XYZ.
There really isn't pleasing some people. For god sake, mistakes do happen, the world isn't perfect.0 -

I don't think it's reasonable that AO are waiting for a report in writing, surely they could make a phone call and get it sorted.
OP buy from John Lewis next time.0 -
I always say,if its got a plug on it,buy it from John Lewis..

83 reviews and 4.5 blobs for this machine hereFeudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
For balance we also get threads about poor service at John Lewis from time to time here too.0
