Changes to Halifax credit card direct debit payment

Hi all, had this note on my most recent statement. Posted incase it affects others.
We're changing how additional payments affect your monthly direct debit
If you make a payment to your credit card at least four full working days before your direct debit due date, we will deduct this amount
from what you'll pay by direct debit. This will be effective from your next statement date.
For example, if you make a payment of £90 at least four working days before your due date, and you usually pay £100 by direct
debit each month, £10 will still be paid by direct debit.
It is important to note that you can continue to make additional payments into your credit card account at any time.

This must be a recent change. No mention of it on my latest statement about a week ago.
I must admit I'm not keen on this idea as it can make additional repayments something of a guessing game in some circumstances.
Thanks for the heads up.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
