Oh. Are you sure it hadn't been stolen?“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -
I think I will be going back to Rea's at the end of the month if I dont see anything better in between times! :beer:0

Lunns is not necessarily as expensive as you might think. I was planing to buy my engagement ring in the Caribbean as we had a holiday planned there anyway and diamonds are generally cheaper there. I was researching the type of ring I might like and went to Lunns (as well as several of the jewellers already metioned on this thread) and ended up buying from there as I found a ring I loved at a really good price.0

Rea's always have these sales on, but I was once told in fact what they are selling at is the price it should be.
Mr.Rea for years has so wanted to be in the Belfast Guild(sp) but been turned down for this very reason.;)0 -
All jewellery for my OH now comes from Margaret Forbes, especially the Lisburn shop, it's the only jewellers where I don't feel like I'm being mugged! Don't know about engagement rings specifically, but we've been very happy with purchases from there.0

Whats the Belfast Guild?
I noticed in a few of these shops they were saying they were having big "Discounts" or "50% off Sales" etc. RRP and such stuck on it.. all nonesense really.0 -
Gardiner's in the Cathedral Quarter might be worth a look?0

A certificate doesn't have value. It only lists the diamond properties. Are you thinking of an insurance valuation certificate maybe?
OP depending on what you want to spend Hatton Gardens is a good bet. I got a ring from a shop there (there are dozens).
I spent a bit of money on it and saved a fair bit going over.0 -
Are Bluenile reputable?
I just compared the exact ring online and its 400 quid cheaper on there.
I was told by Joseph if I can find a shop that can beat his price he will try to beat theirs. I have taken a screenshot of the ring and details.... might print it out and go see him if they are a solid company.0
