Hi All,
Mon-Fri, i drop my partner off at this location, as you can see to the left is a bus stop, but then theres an extended run off.. would this be classed still as the bus stop?
i did call parking services, who oversee all parking in the city of Wolverhampton, they've confirmed i can drop off (alight) on double yellows as long as i move directly off.
Word is though, that at the junction before, there are to be cameras installed.. unknown if this will be for running a red light/speed/or for people parking on the double yellows..
by the GSV, would you say that stopping in that extended lay by, to be an offence?

EDIT: seems link does not direct to GSV: the GSV in question is outside Halfords auto Centre/Dulux Decorating centre

If it is adjacent to the gateway that's a DYL so perfectly legit to drop off and pick up in a reasonable time.
The bus stop is marked by the unbroken broad yellow line along the kerb, and the dashed yellow line around the bay.

Pull into the carpark and drop them off instead?
Maybe an illusion of the photo but is it actually wide enough for a bus
as it nears the last gate?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
The bus stop finishes approx halfway along the front of the Decorating Centre where the dashed lines stop.
The little blue and white signs (showing a man with a sack-trolley) on the first street lamp after the bus stop and the third one after the bus stop show that the area after the bus stop is actually a loading bay.
The white paint saying loading bay on the road has all but worn away.
I see no problem in stopping to drop off passengers in the loading bay.0
