in Cutting tax
I've not claimed from HMRC at all for the 8 years I've been working from home with my current employer.
I'm lead to believe that I can claim back as far as the tax year that ended in 2012, however where do I find what the maximum I can claim per week without providing receipts and can anybody advice where and how I put this information on the form I can fill in on-line?
Thank you so so much, one things for sure, HMRC don't make this process easy!

I think it would be either "other expenses" or maybe "general expenses" on form P87 but I cant see the actual questions on these sections without filling in the whole form.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Thanks for the link, that details the current rate but not previous tax years rates per week.
I agree it is one of them headings but not sure which and how to I write that I simply want to claim the maximum allowance for every week of that year??0 -
If you meet the criteria here-
http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/eimanual/EIM32760.htm
then from 6 April 2012 employees who satisfy the conditions for relief (see EIM32760) are entitled to a deduction of £4, or £18 per month for monthly paid employees, (exclusive of the cost of business telephone calls) for each week that they are required to work at home, without having to justify that figure. Employees who wish to deduct more than £4 per week/£18 per month will be expected to keep records and to be able to show how their figure has been calculated:
http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/eimanual/EIM32815.htm
If you work at home voluntarily and your employer doesn’t contribute to your expenses, you can’t claim tax relief for what you’ve spent.
If you can claim maybe you could put something on P87 like:
Other expenses - Section 336 ITEPA 2003 - Working from home. £4 a week x (number of weeks) = £ xx
EDIT
For 2011-12, the rate was £3 per week
http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/eimanual/EIM32815.htm
Tax relief is given on the amount claimed ie basic rate taxpayer will get 20% tax back on the amount claimed etc0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
