Barclays - Transferred Account Statements

Hi all,


At the start of June I transferred my account to Halifax with no problems, however, I want to obtain my bank statements from Barclays for the last year which apparently, you can do online. However, I keep getting an error message "20000" and calling them numerous times now I keep getting fobbed off with various reasons, none of which are consistent. Anyone know if I can get these in branch?

You should have received a closing statement from Barclays soon after the account was transferred but that would only cover the period back to the previous statement. If you want copies of previous statements then there may be a charge for these. See Barclays current account Terms & Conditions to check.

You should be able to get the closing statement from your branch - take ID with you.

If the charge for copies of previous statements is too high you may be able to cut the cost by issuing a Subject Access Request which costs up to £10.
