Full-Time work to Part-time Study and Work

I am currently working full-time with an agency in a job I hate (I know, join the club:cool:). I want to do a Masters in Politics at a local university. I have read posts here and realise I would have to fund it entirely. I currently rent a flat at over £600p/m which I can afford with my current job. I am not eligible for CDL. I would pay for the course on a credit card. I would work part-time as much as possible to pay the rent on a cheaper place. I have signed a 12 month contract for this place and am only 2 months in. Should I get fired (which might happen, very easily), claim benefits and then sign up for the course? Should I keep working, sign up for the course, then get a part-time job?
