MSE pre-application credit card check

Hi all,
After using the MSE credit card eligibility checker because I was told it wont appear on your credit file, I have just got a copy of my statutory Experian credit report and the MSE credit card check is in fact shown on there. It says 'Money Saving Expert HD Decisions - Credit Care Quotation'.
Any ideas anyone??? Is this wrong?! I didn't apply for any credit card, only checked my eligibility, so why is it showing on there?!
